Hanoi, a city with historical and cultural inheritance
Hanoi, it’s first an historic city, as its architecture shown to every one. Hanoi includes four symbolic architectural spots: the ancient commercial district of Thirty six streets and corporations, the ancient French district, the rural suburb and the Citadel. Hanoi, it’s especially a modern city, in perpetual movement, which abounds in artists. Why don t create a event which will show their talent and the cultural richness of the country?. 2009- First Art contemporary Festival in the street What are the Hanoiens thinking about the Long Bien Bridge? What do they represent for them, old and new generations? How did they see it and how do they see it today? Platform of artistic, cultural and intellectual exchanges, for a city which moves and metamorphoses permanently, this festival wants to be a time for the memory of the bridge and through it, of the city and on of what his population wishes to make it. During 2 days, on October 10th and 11th 2009, year of the 55th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi, The festival will be a door opened for multiple events which will announce the millennium of Thang Long - Hanoi. The main themes of the vent will the "Memory and the dreams of the Bridge" : memory of the bridge as a symbol of Hanoi, city of the heroism and of resistance during the war, but also the bridge of loves, life, and dreams, the dream of a city. 2010 – The Millennium Celebration Thang Long, the city of the Dragon, so named by King Ly Tai To, represents the soul of the Vietnamese. Become major of Vietnam in the year 1010, it carries the name of Hanoi "the city inside the river" since 1831. What more natural than to integrate the Festival the Long Bien, the first bridge of the capital, the symbol of this perpetual city, into the celebrations of the millennium. Of these cultural events, meetings and works which they are going to appear, new projects will born which will contribute to think of the place of Arts in Hanoi and why do not imagine an urban space - District of the artists, pedestrian District, contemporary Museum - going of the Long Bien Bridge to The Opera House , with a biennial event (Biennale of Venise, Paris, Shanghai, etc.) |
